If you're curious about Wartenberg pinwheel play, this is worth trying. If you know you like it and just want a new one, you'll probably want to skip this (unless you're looking more for sadism play than sensation or medical play). It truly is tiny. Measure out the dimensions yourself to get an idea of just how small it is. Also, its plastic. This means that the wheel doesn't roll super smooth and totally straight. More importantly, it means there's little heft inherent to it and you have to modulate the pressure more directly yourself, which can take a bit of practice (but then, experimenting is the whole reason to purchase it). Finally, being plastic means that they had an easy job of making the tines SHARP. As in, genuinely needle-like instead of the typical prickling sensation. But being plastic also means that its easy to dull the tines to your desired level - which is what makes it excellent as a new-type-of-play experiment. My advice is to start off with it super sharp and use it very lightly, then gently press it against a hard surface to dull it a little. Try it again. Change pressure levels and locations. Gently dull it a little more. Repeat. Find what feels good and where it feels good, and once you know, invest in a good one that fits your needs.
